Matt represented us for the purchase of our condo at the Waldorf in Park City. Of all realtors I've worked with on purchases in the last 25 years, Matt stands above for 3 main reasons. 1. He interviews and listens very well. He asked smart questions to understand why we were considering the purchase, how often we'd use it, what we'd use it for, what activities we'd be most engaged in when we came to Park City, etc. Then he consulted us on properties that met our needs, not necessarily his highest commission. It's a testament to his personal integrity. 2. Knowledge of the market, competition, planned development, and the way resort communities work. He synthesized all this information, legal action, city permits, HOA covenants, etc. in such a way that we were comfortable with what we were getting into. Not all of it was a good story, either, which Matt was honest and forthright about. 3. Negotiation skills. Matt did more than negotiate sales price. (He did that quite well, btw.) With every counter from the seller, Matt would move the deal closer while also adding a compromise "concession" that, in fact, had tremendous intangible value for us and enhances our enjoyment of the property every time we use it. Matt encouraged us to talk with other owners very early in the process. He wasn't pushing us to commit based on his word only. His friendliness, follow-up and integrity won our business and our loyalty.
